Live Online Classes
Classes are held live on Zoom.
You are invited to join with your camera on, your tea set prepared, and the tea samples ready as we brew together in real time. The classes are highly interactive, allowing you to ask questions, share observations and develop your practice within a community of fellow tea practitioners.
Pre-requisite Study : Completion of the Foundation Series is recommended before joining this course.
Many of the discussions and questions throughout this series build upon the principles taught in the Foundation Series. Students are encouraged to become familiar with the standard preparation methods for the five primary categories of tea before exploring the more advanced techniques unique to aged teas.

What You'll Learn
Each week we will explore a different aged tea, and I will guide you step by step through the preparation methods specific to that tea, including:
Steeping times
Tea-to-water ratios
Water temperature
Brewing vessels and technique
Storage and ageing considerations
Medicinal qualities and health benefits
Beyond the practical skills, we will explore how ageing transforms the living qualities of tea, influencing its flavour, energy and medicinal nature.
This series is designed to deepen your personal tea practice, refine your Gong Fu Cha skills, and cultivate a greater understanding of aged tea as a living medicine.
Together we will discover the subtle dimensions within each tea and experience how these remarkable teas nourish and restore the body, mind and spirit.
Requirements for the series; you will require your a beginner Tea Set and a set of samples sent by Temple Garden Tea.
Your own tea set with : `90-120ml Porcelain Gaiwan, jug, kettle, cup, strainer, thermometer, timer and scales.
