Did you know?

The land on which Ecoasis stands has a rich history dating back to the early colonisation of Australia. The town of Uki was named after the discovery of premium Cedar logs labelled as "UK1," indicating the region's exploitation of its ancient forest timbers from the Gondwana age, millions of years old.

Over 25 years ago, the custodians of Ecoasis initiated strategic land planting, reintroducing over 2000 native species. Today, in collaboration with Graham from the BCT Trust, we continue this vital work, propagating native species for the koala sanctuary and developing educational pathways and signage to enlighten our guests.

We welcome volunteers to live with us and participate in our Landcare projects. Our 10-acre parcel, featuring spring-fed creeks and a 3-acre cleared campsite, is ideal for organized bush regeneration activities and educational workshops.
